We test the laws of physics and search for new laws by making precise measurements of the quantum states of simple systems like molecules, atoms, and subatomic particles. Our current work focuses on the vibration of molecules as a probe for time-variation of fundamental constants. Such variation could arise from quantum gravity or dark matter.
Our work is funded by Amherst College and the US National Science Foundation (RUI PM PHY-2207623), with prior support from the NSF (RUI PHY-1806223, CAREER PHY-1255170) and the Research Corporation for Science Advancement.
